god, do i even remember how to do this?

so i am once again blowing the dust off my trusty keyboard to fill the discontented populous in on my oh-so-exciting existence - i'll try to make this short and fairly painless:

*just got a whole bunch of college stuff in the mail the other day, yet again driving home the point that change is comming. included in this was my student e-mail, (schwartz@seattleu.edu, feel free to e-mail me, i don't know if it's working yet or not) my move-in date (sept. 16) and my roommate, one Megan Iverson of Vancouver, WA - i need to give her a call, but i've been putting if off hiding behind my shyness. bad, i know.

*being working a crapload (so what else is new, right?) but as a result of all this work, i've obtained a nice little amount stowed in the bank in the hopes of purchasing a laptop and/or ipod before school. the hard part is not taking it all out and going shopping, i'm in dire need of some new togs :)

*just finished the new Harry Potter book 2 days ago - i think it's her best yet, i cried so hard at the end. can't wait to see where shes going to take it with the next book. i'm such a nerd when it comes to harry potter :p

*theres a small chance i'll be going to LA with rick for a few days next month - could be interesting, i'm anxious to just get away from here for a bit, we'll see if it actually happens or not. never been to LA before, kinda scared, i've heard horror stories. but i can't help being a little more than semi-excited even tho i'm trying not to be, just incase it doesn't happen.

*went to my first bachlorette party a few weeks ago, amazingly fun time was had. highlights: a condom blowing up contest, 10 semi-drunk girls in a hot tub, eating used roomservice, and attempting to kiss the crotch area of a picture of a guy in just a toolbelt while wearing purple lipstick and a blindfold. super fun, made me want to have a bachlorette party of my own, without the whole wedding thing :p

*saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory a few days ago, bloody brilliant movie, i loved that this one was truer to the book. although i thought they couldn't beat the old oompa-loompas, i do like the updated ones. best line in the movie: "i like grapes!"

*i think my family is in the market for a couple kittens, if you know of anyone who has a litter of kittens their wanting to be rid of, let me know - we discovered adopting from the humane society is a huge process that will most likely take forever and you have to sign over your first born to get them to give you one kitty, much less two. so let me know :)
